Game of the Week Call Me Big Popp-ah (4-3)

@ The Lockett Rocket (5-2)

RICK -6

Mrs. Wilgus and the Friday Song division bring the Week 8 Game of the Week to you and it is a fight for a piece of 1st place in the division. Last time these two squads played the Lockett Rocket escaped with a narrow 2-point win so Call Me Big Popp-ah is out for vengeance.

The chance of that vengeance heavily relies on stars, RB Alvin Kamara and WR Davante Adams, making their returns to Sam’s lineup. If those two return, this line could flip.

He does get Chris Godwin back from the bye to help keep things close. The defending champ catches another break with PLo having Zeke on a bye and Matt Ryan injured. Kirk “You like that!” Cousins

will get the start for the Lockett Rocket on TNF, if he crashes and burns at home in Minny the Lockett Rocket could find company at the top of the division. The WR matchup is slightly in Sam’s favor even if Adams cannot go while PLo holds the edge at TE and RB (if Kamara cannot go). Juju will attempt to seal a “victory royale” on MNF.

This game is being played on the space channel because EQUINOX.

Week 8 At A Glance Minshew Mania (6-1) @ Harrisonburg 21-16 (3-4) -0.9

Minshew Mania strides into this clash with the top spot in the league after walking away unscathed by the Lockett Rocket.

A fierce foe awaits as Harrisonburg 21-16 emerges on the horizon. Despite a 20+-point loss to Kings of Leon last week Harrisonburg 21-16 enters as a slight 1.8-point favorite in what should be a high scoring affair.

A combined projected total of 254 points is the highest of the week. Minshew Mania welcomes OBJ to the squad after a midseason trade while it remains to be seen if he’ll make his debut due to unfamiliarity with his teammates and a trip to NE on tap. First-round selection Deandre Hopkins will be expected to put the WR group on his back if the Mania wants to continue its run. Backups who’ve emerged will form 2/3 of the run game alongside keeper Nick Chubb. QB Dak Prescott is taking a week off for Jacob so Teddy Bridgewater gets the start in the Superdome vs the Cardinals.

If Bridgewater can outscore, Goff Jacob will be in a good spot with Gurley/Kupp taking on a weak Cincy defense. Julio/Kupp vs Hopkins/Hill is the battle to watch. This game will be decided early with all but one of Harrisonburg has started playing in the Sunday early slate. Can Tyreek and the Steelers D give Minshew Mania another late primetime victory?

Blue Injury Tent (2-5) @ Kings of Leon (2-5) +14.3

We got an MVP duel at QB in this bottom of the table matchup between 2-5 teams whose owners are hoping to drag them out of the abyss.

Wilson vs Rodgers will be the focal point and Rodgers will need to get close to last week’s totals for Nick to pull off the upset against the Blue Injury Tents who are surprisingly healthy with Drew Brees returning.

The only other questionable performers are Herndon and AJ Green who is occupying the IR spot. The curse of being Thomas’s opponent has spread with Kings of Leon losing K. Johnson to IR and Cook/Williams being questionable at TE/Flex this week.

If the QBs stay close Thomas’s top 5 RB duo should keep him from falling into last place. Dalvin and Scary Terry start things off on TNF while a 2v2 skirmish will decide the game on SNF. Packers DST and Crosby take the field for the Injury Tents while the Kings of Leon will roll out Rodgers and Shady McCoy.

TETRHYDRO CHUCKABINOL (3-4) @ Genderfluid Nonbinary (4-3) -3.3

Chuck’s season looked to be torpedo’ d last Thursday night as Mahomes left early in the 2nd quarter due to a knee injury. The NFL went into absolute meltdown as fear spread that he could be done for the year. Luckily, for the NFL, Chiefs, and Chuck Mahomes is blessed and got away with a dislocated knee but not associated damage to ligaments, etc.

The non-human, Patrick Mahomes,

has actually practiced this week twice but still seems unlikely to play Sunday night. The mustache man himself, Gardner Minshew, has been given the starting role in hopes of siphoning off some of the magic that is Minshew Mania. The Nonbinaries have injury issues of their own in the backfield with starters James Conner and Josh Jacobs questionable. MG3 could step in despite his struggles upon his return from his holdout. Pass catchers Desean Jackson, Will Fuller V, and Delaine Walker are also likely not to play. Sanu has moved to Bradyville so Joe’s flex could see a nice boost.

Free Agent acquisitions Corey Davis, Kenny Stills, and Preston Williams all in positive matchups. A few TDs from this crew and Chuck could be back at .500. This tight matchup will go down to the wire forcing us all to watch yet another dreadful MNF game as Preston Williams will battle James Conner with a music video concert at the half. MNF sucks now guys.

The Butler Space Pirates of Planet Cuck 9 (4-3) @ Big Dick Nicks (2-5) -18.2

This sibling showdown should be a good one after Nick cucked Pat on his wedding weekend to the tune of 200+ points (although Pat would later top this total). Revenge in the win column could be hard to cum by for the Space Pirates as quite a few members are facing medical maladies as well as top WR Cooper being on a bye. Josh Gordon was sent to IR with bone bruises, Thelien is out with a bad hammy, and Kirk is questionable, as is Edelman.

Star RB David Johnson has missed yet another practice and looks unlikely to play against the Saints. The Space Pirates looking to be pitching their own blue injury tent…Speaking of pitching tents the Big Dick Nicks are favored in this matchup despite their record and it is easy to see how. A top 5 QB, fantasy’s golden boy CMC, a top 10 back in Carson, a talented WR trio…the TE/Flex/DST is dragging the team down a bit. However, entering this stage of the season very healthy the Big Dick Nicks should be able to erupt in the 2nd half of the season.

Perhaps namesake Nick Foles’ return to practice will bring magic to the squad. This brotherly battle will wrap up early with only Harrison Butker playing after the 4 pm slate. The Space Pirates from Planet Cuck 9 may be forced into being .500 yet again if DJ cannot go.
